How to protect your digital camera lithium battery

At present, most digital camera batteries use lithium-ion batteries. Since their introduction in 1990, lithium-ion batteries have developed rapidly due to their excellent performance and have been widely used in society. Therefore, lithium-ion battery manufacturers have gained the largest scale. development of. When you buy a new battery or a battery that has not been used for several months, you can fully activate the electronics only after a few full charges, otherwise the battery life will be shorter in the future. Li-ion batteries must be charged for more than 6 hours, and nickel-hydrogen batteries must be charged for more than 14 hours, so that the battery can be fully charged.
Using original chargers and batteries will help extend battery life. Regarding the charging time, it depends on the charger and battery used, and whether the voltage is stable or not.
When the battery has residual power, try not to recharge it to ensure battery life. Even if the digital camera shows that the battery is exhausted, in fact, there is still a little charge left in the battery. If the rechargeable battery is repeatedly charged without being used up, the battery life will gradually shorten. To restore the use time to the original level, it is necessary to repeatedly "charge the battery after it is completely used up" many times. At this time, we can use a small flashlight to solve this problem. If it is a AA rechargeable battery, you can install it in the flashlight and recharge it after the battery is exhausted.
Turn off the LCD display, a big power user, and switch to an optical viewfinder. If you must use the LCD display, it is best to reduce its brightness or switch to black and white mode. This can fully save power and extend the life of the battery.
The easiest way to charge the battery after it is fully discharged on a regular basis is to use a regulated charger or a pulse charger.
Do not use both new and old batteries at the same time. Even with the new and old batteries of the same brand, it will cause its own damage, and the related circuit parts of the digital camera will be dangerous, so everyone must pay attention to the use of new and old batteries.
Usually, many charging problems are caused by dirty battery contact points. Therefore, a cotton swab dipped in alcohol should be used to wipe and clean the battery contact points occasionally.
Pay attention to the temperature of charging and use, this is especially important for Ni-MH batteries. The battery should be charged at an ambient temperature of 0°C to 40°C. Charging below 0°C will cause abnormal internal charging of the battery, resulting in a continuous decline in unrecoverable performance. Charging above 40°C may cause leakage.
If the camera will not be used for a long time, remove the battery from the camera and store it in a cool and dry place.
No matter what kind of rechargeable battery is used, it is not suitable to be used in the digital camera immediately after charging. It is best to leave the newly charged battery for a while. This is important because the closed circuit voltage of the newly charged battery is It may be higher than the rated voltage. If it is installed in the camera immediately, it will affect the relevant circuit components inside the camera. Therefore, it is best to wait for the rechargeable battery to self-discharge to the rated voltage before using it. Of course, do not leave a fully charged rechargeable battery unused for a long time, as this will not benefit the rechargeable battery itself.
Finally, I would like to remind you that if you can use AC regulated power supply, it is best to use AC regulated power supply. After all, the cost of rechargeable batteries is still high. Most digital cameras are equipped with their own AC regulated power supply. Before use, you should figure out whether your AC adapter power supply is an external 110V or 220V voltage, because if it is improperly plugged in, it is easy to burn the power supply and even the camera. Don’t use other stabilized adapter power supply at will, because cameras produced by various camera manufacturers have differences in adapting voltage, current, and specifications. It is easy to use improper stabilized adapter power supply at will. Damage to the power interface of the camera. In severe cases, the camera may be burnt out due to voltage and current mismatch. Therefore, we must pay special attention.
